August — A Story Still Unfolding
August was a month of learning, creativity, and growth across CEEM, DTLP, and CLAP.
Children gained confidence as they worked towards their exams and explored their creativity through beautiful art and designs. Fellows strengthened their skills through meaningful experiences, young minds discovered digital possibilities, and entrepreneurs began turning their talents into opportunities.
Behind every session, creation, milestone, and celebration was someone taking a step forward—learning something new, discovering their potential, and finding new possibilities for what they could create and achieve.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A SKILL FINDS AN OPPORTUNITY?
A journal becomes an order.
A crochet hook becomes a business.
A workshop becomes an income.
And a community becomes a marketplace.
That was August at CLAP.
The month began with a milestone for Thunippothi—its first-ever bulk order of 140 handmade cloth journals was completed and delivered. For Urmi, the festive season brought new possibilities, from a bulk order to Onam stalls and new market connections through Ke-Ha.
Each Journey becomes special
But the real story was happening beyond the numbers.
Shahana and Naja took their first steps into enterprise, while exposure visits to SHE Souk and Sargaalaya opened windows into new ideas, markets, and possibilities. At the same time, Chill by Arshi turned expertise into opportunity through a client-based resin workshop.

A 2-day Coastal Community Immersion at Kappakal
Then came Vaava-Popo, where a community experience became a livelihood opportunity. Food, cooking workshops, fishing, and even Kolkali found their place in the journey—generating income while showcasing the community's talents.

Creative Vacation: Creating, Crafting & Exploring
It was a month of learning, creativity, celebration, and discovery. Students strengthened their academics through model exams and revision, explored STEM through hands-on activities, and embraced digital and self-directed learning. The Creative Vacation brought imagination to life through crochet, terracotta jewellery, and resin art, while celebrations and special observances added joy and reflection. Alongside students, fellows continued to grow through learning and development sessions—making August a month where every experience opened a new possibility.
A Vacation of Creation
The Lern App opened a new door to digital learning, while the Skill Hub became a space for students to learn at their own pace.
Students sharpened their learning through Half-Yearly Model Exams and focused revision, while MissionTEN and Azham turned challenges into confidence. In STEM sessions, the vegetable prints became patterns, wires became working ideas, and projects became possibilities as students prepared for the Science Fair.
The month also brought moments to celebrate and remember—Dream Forward, Independence Day, Hiroshima Day, Onam, and digital learning—each adding a different colour to the month. STEM sessions focused on Science Fair Training, providing students with hands-on guidance and expert support to prepare for various school-level competitions. Students explored different project areas, developed their ideas, and gained practical skills in model making and presentation

This month, fellows strengthened their English speaking and communication skills, while the FDP opened new ways of thinking about teaching through storytelling, rhythm, singing, and experiential learning—turning every lesson into an opportunity to connect, create, and inspire, with Celebrations connecting them.

August wasn't just a month of activities—it was a month where curiosity met confidence, creativity met learning, and every experience became a step forward.

What Happens When Learning Meets Celebration?
What if a month could be a little bit of learning, a little bit of challenge, and a whole lot of celebration?
August at MissionTEN was exactly that.
The month began with students gearing up for their Quarterly and Onam Examinations—revisiting concepts, practising questions, clearing doubts, and building the confidence to say, “I’m ready!” Alongside regular academic sessions, students continued their journey through focused learning and support.
And then came the celebrations!
Independence Day brought songs, quizzes, discussions, performances, and moments to reflect on what freedom means. Soon after, Onam transformed the learning space into a burst of games, music, dance, laughter, and Sadhya—bringing students together beyond the classroom.
From books to badges, questions to games, and revision to celebration, it reminded us that learning can happen anywhere—and sometimes, the best lessons are the ones we experience together.

DREAM FORWARD — And Then, What’s Next?
What happens when a year of hard work finally gets its moment in the spotlight?
At Dream Forward, the MissionTEN 2025–26 journey came alive through stories of growth, achievement, and new possibilities. Students stepped into a world of opportunities through CIGI (Centre for Information and Guidance India) exposure and career guidance, getting a glimpse of the many paths waiting beyond the Learning Hub.
Then came the celebration—achievements were recognised, efforts were applauded, and students, volunteers, and Learning Hub Coordinators were honoured.
But perhaps the biggest question of the day was simple:
The journey so far was worth celebrating. But where will these dreams take them next?
“Wait, What Happened in DTLP?”
Coach: “Level 2 is almost behind us. So, what do you think comes next?”
Participant: “Level 3?”
Coach: “Maybe. But first, let’s look back.”
That’s how August began for DTLP.
On 13 August, coaches came together for a reflection—looking at the Level 2 journey, understanding participant growth, and thinking about what the next stage could look like.
Participant: “And when do we find out about Level 3?”
Coach: “On 16 August, we start the conversations.”
And conversations it was. 29 participants sat down with coaches and coordinators for one-to-one interactions during the Level 3 Selection Meeting—sharing their experiences, aspirations, and readiness for what comes next.
But then came another question.
Participant: “What does all this learning look like outside DTLP?”
Coach: “Let’s go and see.”
On 29 August, the learning moved beyond the usual space. 29 DTLP participants, along with DTLP fellows and a community member, spent a full day at Creators and Marketers School for a CDA industry exposure session.
Participant: “Digital Marketing?”
Coach: “Exactly. A little glimpse of the world you could step into.”
And just like that, August became more than 3 sessions and 17 learning hours.
It became a month of questions, conversations, choices, and possibilities.
Because sometimes, the best learning begins with one simple question: “What’s next?”
