At iLAB, our projects are all about helping coastal communities learn, earn, and grow together. Here’s a closer look at what we do:

Coastal Education Enhancement Mission (CEEM)

CEEM is all about making sure every child in Kerala’s coastal communities gets the chance to learn, grow, and dream big. Through our neighborhood learning hubs, we provide daily sessions filled with learning, theatre, and creative activities. From the Pebbles program for little ones just starting school to MissionTEN for teens preparing for their SSLC exams, we walk alongside each child at every step. Our caring mentors use fun, hands-on methods to help kids build confidence and catch up where they need support—whether it’s reading their first story or tackling tough exam questions.

But CEEM is more than just academics. We focus on the whole child—offering social-emotional learning, parent engagement sessions, and even career guidance for older students. Our goal is to close the education gap for coastal children, so they’re not left behind compared to their peers in other parts of the state. With every class and every smile, we’re building a future where every child in the community feels seen, valued, and ready to chase their dreams.

Coastal Livelihood Acceleration Program (CLAP)

CLAP is designed to help women in coastal communities turn their talents and hard work into real opportunities. We start by listening—visiting homes, meeting with local leaders, and understanding what women want for themselves and their families. Through life skills workshops, theatre-based sessions, and expert talks, participants gain the confidence and practical know-how to start small businesses, manage money, and even become community leaders. Our sessions are lively, supportive, and filled with real stories from women who’ve walked the same path.

The heart of CLAP is about creating lasting change. We help women form self-help groups, connect with mentors, and access digital tools at our Skill Hub. Special training sessions—like eco-friendly pen making or embroidery—give women hands-on skills they can use right away. As women grow in confidence and start earning, they inspire others, creating a ripple effect of empowerment and hope throughout the community. CLAP isn’t just about jobs—it’s about building a future where every woman feels strong, independent, and proud of what she can achieve.

Digital Tech Literacy Program (DTLP)

DTLP bridges the digital divide for young people in coastal Kerala. Many youth here haven’t had the chance to use computers or the internet, making it tough to keep up in today’s world. Our program changes that by offering hands-on digital skills training at our welcoming Skill Hub. We cover everything from typing and using Google tools to online safety, email, and even basic design. The sessions are practical, friendly, and designed to build confidence—so no one feels left behind or overwhelmed.

But DTLP is about more than just learning to use a laptop. We help participants explore new career paths, connect with mentors, and work together as a team. Through fun activities and real-life projects, young people discover how digital skills can open doors to jobs, freelancing, and even community leadership. By the end of the program, our youth aren’t just tech-savvy—they’re ready to take on the world, help their families, and support their community’s growth in this digital age.

CADET (Community Ambassadors Development & Empowerment Training)

CADET is where tomorrow’s community leaders get their start. We believe that real change comes from within, so we train local youth and volunteers to become ambassadors of hope and progress. Through leadership workshops, teamwork activities, and hands-on problem-solving, CADET helps young people build the confidence and skills to guide others. Participants learn how to organize events, mentor younger kids, and even tackle challenges like digital literacy or environmental projects.

The magic of CADET is in its ripple effect. As these ambassadors grow, they inspire others to step up and make a difference. They become the friendly faces leading neighborhood projects, supporting women’s groups, and helping children succeed in school. With CADET, we’re planting seeds of leadership and responsibility—ensuring that every community has its own champions ready to shape a brighter, more self-reliant future.
